ALOHA! The Draft Family is once again headed BACK to the beach this coming March! We couldn’t be more excited to head back to one of the most beautiful places on the planet. The Ice Palace in Honolulu will play host to the 2nd annual Hawaii draft tournament Feb 28th – Mar 3rd, 2027. If heading to the Aloha state to play some puck and put your feet up with a cold on the beach, now is your chance!
As one might imagine, playing hockey in Hawaii will be a little different. Due to being the only rink on the islands, they have limited availability for an event like ours. Some important things you need to know:
- This tournament will take place over the course of 4 days.
- Draft Party Sunday Feb 28th
- Games one and two for each team will take place Monday March 1st (9am – 2pm)
- Games three and four for each team will take place Tuesday March 2nd (9am – 2pm)
- The A and B finals will take place Wednesday March 3rd (1015am – 1230pm)
- The arena is set up a little different then what were used to. There are NO locker rooms and no shower facilities. Instead, for events like ours, they set up the mezzanine area into 4 areas, 1 for each team.
- The price for this tournament will be more than what we’re used to. Tournament price (No Hotel) is $979 usd, $929 usd (with draftfamily code), and for those of you joining the Draft Family for the first time, $879 usd (with the getdrafted code)

We know how important it is to have control over your travel arrangements so moving forward, many of our tournaments will have a unique link to book whichever hotel you desire in the host city.
When searching for a hotel, the default properties at the top of the list will be the closest to the arena. From there, like any other hotel search engine, you can filter for whatever is important to you. From room type, length of stay, star rating – it’s in your hands to curate your stay however you like.
As most of you know, each tournament has a WhatsApp chat ( or those that don’t, contact us for that info!) This is where draft family that wants to share accommodation can make those connections and arrangements with each other.
